[RC] My first horse - Amy

I think the first horses I rode were the farmers down the road. He didn't ride them, but he'd let the neighbors and they weren't usually very safe and boy the attitudes, I remember falling off of all of them except for one gentle old Clyde mix, she was a sweetie. I remember riding double on one with my mom and us being dumped and waving bye to the horse as he ran back home. I got my first pony Prince for $50 with saddle (only used when I had to) and bridle when I was 6yrs old, he was a gorgeous chestnut (still my favorite color, no idea on breed), looked like a small horse instead of a hairy/pudgy pony and he was a good boy who taught me how to ride/fall off/get bucked off and did all the pony things, but I don't remember the bad much, just how much fun we had. There were two other girls my age in the neighborhood who had ponies and we rode all over together and played rodeo/etc.

Course even having my own pony didn't stop me from having the stick horses and bending over trees to ride, climbing up on the propane tank, riding our golden retriever (boy would mom and dad get angry about that). My fantasy horses names were always something like Thunder and Lightning and I was the only one who could ride them, lol!
