Re: [RC] dressage camel - Melissa Margetts Ms. Kitty

AhhhhhHaaa! You're right Maryanne, I just re-watched the video. It IS a Bactrian. You're right , it has a nice "deep seat" and a kind of "lower back rest" too. I just love not needing to have a mounting block to get on and off. I'll bet you are quite the camel jockey yourself by now. Roughly what speed and distance can those guys maintain? Are they considered a ruminid? What is the main reason that a camel will die? I know these are odd questions for ridecamp but "you be da one ta ask". Gonna come stop in and visit you someday! Natalie!, How cool is that! I've been working a lot with the
buffalo and she's just starting to get the dressage thing, and
doesn't do flying lead changes. But this camel!....Very nice. Now
I better start going through my tack and see what might be camel
worthy. There just happens to be a camel ranch down in Ridgway.
They all look like they're Bactrians though, may have to check out
if they have any baby dromedarys' they might let me start. What
fun. This one I'd sign up just for the desert rides.
