[RC] info on a horse owned by heather Costigan out of eagle point Oregon - sherman

I did buy a horse under similar circumstances. The person acting on behalf of the seller gave me a bill of sale, she signed it as seller. I don’t have the registration papers though, but doesn’t matter, I’m not going to be breeding Sonny.  The seller had a copy of the dam’s papers (Tsayter’s Delight) but the “owner” had never had the reg put in her name, and there was no info on the sire. Two other people bought his half-brother and his son from the same seller. The owner had just told her I don’t want them anymore, I’m leaving the state, just sell them or do whatever you want with them. All three of us feel we have wonderful horses and would have missed out on them if we hadn’t trusted the seller. I think that is the big issue…do you trust the seller? In this day of everyone having a cell phone, could you talk to the owner and verify the situation?
