My older guy, Sonny, was
put down four years ago. Vets at UC Davis said he had idiopathic granulomas
pneumonia and hypertrophic osteoarthropathy. I donated his body to Davis. After
the autopsy, it was determined that he had cancer in his liver and several other
places; can't find the doctor's report at the moment. No evidence of cancer
before that. I got the impression cancer in horses is very hard to diagnose. I'd
had all kinds of tests run on Sonny, and cancer was never
mentioned.
