[RC] scratches...fat ponies - sherman

I love hearing about fat ponies that need more miles. How much of a pony is she? And are you going to do 50s or 100s with her? I’ll be fitting my 13.2 ½H 6 yr old Arab/mustang filly up for (hopefully) 50s and maybe even 100s, if she does well and likes the miles.

My mare could get them from sand, from dew, from whatever.  I used zinc oxide in competition to keep them at bay.  Tammy's ointment is great stuff too.  Right now I am blessed with a fat pony that hasn't gotten scratches yet.  On the other hand, she hasn't really been ridden far enough to get them either.  Maybe by next year I can put more miles on her fat body and see if she is going to get them.  Jeanie
