Re: [RC] EC DQ - Jody Rogers-Buttram

I one comment on this entire topic:

FEI stinks and is corrupt, international riding has lost it's glory and luster to those of money and greed, and hopefully, AERC will see this before it is too late and our REAL sport is invaded, overrun and soiled like it has been at this venue.

I can - having a horse keel over at some point from being ridden in an event like that while drugged. It appears that they don't particularly care about public opinion or they wouldn't have done it. I think a one year suspension would be good - a fine doesn't make them think twice about trying it again - a suspension makes SURE they won't at least for a year. Drugging horses.....for what? sigh! Devastating is seeing your horse who was carefully ridden and monitored drop on the spot after the finish line and having no idea why. Devastating is riding one's precious mare carefully, going home and getting up a few days later to see her about an hour from death. now THAT is equine devastation - not consequences for one's own illegal actions. ...shrug
