I've been worried about tendon involvement from the beginning. 
 
To be more clear, the original swelling and lameness went away very quickly.  Currently there is no lameness nor is either area sore at all, even when briskly rubbed and squeezed (yuck).

Kathy is right.  Have your vet see him.  Also, I would recommend having that leg ultrasounded.  Why?  The *action* that caused the abscessing might also have involved tearing a ligament or tendon sheath.  If so, if the infections heal up in say the next 2 months and you start conditioning again, the underlying damage could balloon into a bowed tendon or similar.  That happened to my horse because I had no clue about the possibility of tearing.  I had to lay him off for a year when the tendon bowed.
