Absolutely right about horses hating to pee on surfaces that
splash! That said, have seen too many horses with respiratory irritation,
eye irritation, and even scratched corneas from blowing shavings in the
trailer--so prefer to use straw or old hay (or even dirt, as long as it isn't
fine and dusty) for this function.

I wonder how those pelleted stall products would work in the trailer?
Would they roll around like marbles? Would the horses slide around? Anyone used
this stuff instead of shavings?
