A short post here. Many know of my problems trying to find a new horse to ride, to replace my finally retired Shagya-Arab -Omni.

At last, this one is SOUND sane suitable and passed the vet check. So he is a keeper.
Gaited - after 30 years of trotting -jigging uppity Arabs, I get a nice soft smooth ride.:)
He is not in great shape. Wants to pace vs foxtrot. So, I am gong to start at the base level work. WALK LSD to build him up. NO gaiting for weeks

Name is THUNDER. 8yr Old MFT Chestnut Gelding - white face star blaze. Stocky strong build. Has not been used much for the past 3 years. Easy going on trail. A bit pushy on the ground. Needs some give to the bit re-work.
We have bonded in the past 6 days. He likes attention and wants to work for me.

Working out the best bit for him. Saddle- trying the 3 I have. Looks like the BOZ will work the best. NOT buying another saddle.

Will add a writeup and pictures on the web site later

Test rode him at the breeder a week ago. Last Fri we did a day at BSF. Today we did 6 miles off the farm in the forest.

A new adventure starts.
