[RC] Vet Judges - Michael Maul

In response to:"I truly am wondering where the AERC BOD stands on the issue and how other vets feel about it."

A vet at an AERC ride is there as a "vet judge" only for AERC purposes. When a rider and vet enter into a treatment situation - this is a professional vet/client relationship and has nothing to do with AERC. Insurance coverage for the vet is the same as if they saw the client in their office or at the client's barn. If there is a suit - it's no different than any other professional relationship between the client and the vet.

Some ride managers have a designated treatment vet either at the ride or on call.
