yes it was 1998, in September (so b/f 1998 WEC in Dubai). I do recall  
Kat/Snip; Leo/Santini; on the first day (in that beautiful high mnt.  
valley) moving out (as they both REALLY wanted to streak) as you  
passed Squeak and I. nice memories:) -- that was also the day that  
Rick Brand and Rhett went all the way UNDER in a bog and Rick saved  
Rhett by holding his head above water until they could figure out how  
to put reins/girths/clothes together to make a rope to get them both  
out... they were (both) totally in danger of sever hypothermia by the  
time they made it to that first nights camp....
