[RC] trailer loading issue - Tara M Sheppard - sherman


Do you have floor mats on that bare floor? Some of my stall mats have
grooves in them, if these mats were placed so the grooves went from side to
side in the trailer rather thanfromt to back, I believe they would keep a
horse from slipping and would be easier to add than a ramp. Another thought,
get an old pair of unwanted easy boots from someone, use them when
trailering.

O.k. - so I worked with my gelding on the trailer loading thing today.
This is what i see: He steps up into the trailer with the front feet and
they both slide forward. This is on a bare floor (I do not use shavings
in the trailer)
