Re: [RC] Fwd: Stop Plan to Kill America's Wild Horses - Barbara McCrary

No, I wouldn't donate.  Let the people who are totally sympathetic to saving the overpopulation of feral horses do the donating.  I have to be more practical than that.  If a population of animals strains the resources, then some of the animals must go.  We had to reduce our cow herd to less than I would have liked, simply because there isn't enough grass for them and hay prices are in the stratosphere in CA.
I love all animals, but I also realize we, as a nation, cannot support all of them.  The cost of supporting the overpopulation of feral horses is but one of the contributing factors to the national debt.  There are a great many more, and they all eat away at the monetary base of our nation.
Sorry to disappoint......

And - just out of curiosity - where would those funds come from?  Will you donate?

I suggest the ASPCA provide the funds to support all the wild horses.
