No, I wouldn't donate. Let the people who
are totally sympathetic to saving the overpopulation of feral horses do the
donating. I have to be more practical than that. If a population of
animals strains the resources, then some of the animals must go. We had to
reduce our cow herd to less than I would have liked, simply because there isn't
enough grass for them and hay prices are in the stratosphere in CA.
I love all animals, but I also realize we, as a
nation, cannot support all of them. The cost of supporting the
overpopulation of feral horses is but one of the contributing factors to
the national debt. There are a great many more, and they all eat away at
the monetary base of our nation.
