RE: [RC] [RC] Fwd: Stop Plan to Kill America's Wild Horses - heidiI also suggest that they provide a place to put them, since excess feral horses do tremendous damage to the natural resources, and adversely impact the wild species that cannot outcompete them. If the American public wants to have a few feral horses out there for whatever reasons, fine--but I fully support our land managers in their efforts to protect ALL of our resources by ensuring that the populations of feral horses (note they ARE feral--NOT wild!) is kept in check. Unfortunately, horses do reproduce more readily than the resources can handle them, and I, for one, would far rather spend my limited dollars on my own horses than on taxes to support expensive sterilization processes for feral horses.
Please, these political debates have been beat to death here on ridecamp. Let's go back to endurance riding.
