[RC] Filly for Adoption - Peggy B-Smith

I received the following e-mail from a fellow ETI member regarding a filly out of our wild (feral) herd of horses here in Tehachapi (CA).  As you can see, Diana is only asking a token amount for her and she sounds really nice.
I am at my max for horses so can't take her and I'm starting a young one myself.
If you are interested, please e-mail me and I will forward photos to you or just call Diana directly.

. . .

On June 28th we caught a couple of the wild horses, one was a cute little filly in need of doctoring, the stud she was hanging out with was tearing her up.  Please see attached photos  - - -

The wound appears to be skin only.  She doesn't favor the leg in any way even while running or trotting, and does not mind that we doctor the wound.  The splash of water startles her more than cleaning the wound itself.  It is clearing up nicely although it will probably leave a scar.  If we could have caught her up sooner perhaps it could have been stitched properly.

If you know of anyone interested in adopting her, please let me know right away.  She is about 8-10 months old looking at her teeth.  Yes, she lets you open her mouth to check her teeth out and you can walk her on a lead rope.  She is sort of a chocolatey black (with a tiny white spot on the coronary band of one foot).  I have been brushing her all over, scratching her from the top of the head to her butt, brushing the tail, rubbing her poll and ears, picking up her two front feet and spraying her with fly spray.  She has been letting me do this since the first few days we had her moved to the our house.

This herd of horses usually get to be about 14h, so I expect she will do the same.  As with other horses we catch, her adoption fee is only $55.00 (without halter and lead rope.)

Please feel free to pass this email along.  To say the least she is already pretty gentle, sweet and ready for a new home (the sooner the better as I get attached real easy and can't afford another horse).
