It's nice to be part of the organization, no matter what. :) When I make statements about "garnering points," etc., I'm simply voicing some points that I believe those who are called "complainers" are trying to say. We've been treated with kindness and concern at the rides, just like all the other riders, but I think in the sense of the overall rules and what counts and what doesn't, there is disparaging evidence against LD rides counting for anything more than just another training ride. I believe that's what she meant. I could stay close to home, save a ton of $$ on gas and sleep in my own bed and ride 25 miles on our own trails, but I don't. It's just plain not as much fun!! However, in 43 years in this sport, i just haven't found the ride that treated me that way regardless of the distance traveled, and I have done them all.
