[RC] LD weird logic and future repercussions to those who start LD debate! :-) - rides2farSo maybe . . . charge the LD rides as just > that,> "training rides" and charge 1/2 the fee? If we have to pay the same > fee> as those doing "endurance," then we should at least reap SOME benefit> for the effort. How's about if I pay $150 to do a 100 miler. I finish last at 4 AM. after saddling up at 5:30 AM. In the normal order that finishing awards are handed out I will probably get a XXL T-shirt that was the last one left after every 25 and 50 have gotten theirs. It will look exactly like the ones the 25 milers who paid $75, finished in 2 hours and loaded up their horses and went home got. I get no meal, I was on the trail. The top 10 25's probably got a cool top 10 or placement award and possibly a weight division award, and a meal. I get the T-shirt. Can I have a break on AERC fees under your logic?
