Are us Californians slacking?  It seems like everyone just wants to be low key this year.  July 4th was a big ho hum for a lot of us.  I wonder too if the fires make it hard to do any training, people are stressing about the fires, and Tevis runs through some high fire danger areas?

 

I don't have a Tevis horse, I don't even have a viable endurance horse at the moment, and I now ain't riding that much even after having a pretty busy riding spring.  My lungs ache too much.

So where are the riders from CA and NV? What's the normal split for out 
of state vs. CA and NV?

This does seem quite low even with other rides the same time.
