Ramble all you want because you have hit the nail square on the head. 
The bottom line the AERC is made of individual regions that have their 
own character.  We have a set of national rules in which all regions 
operate but each region has its own character and personality. No where 
is this more clear than the LD. I think it's about time that people 
agree to disagree that we may not agree on LD but by golly it is what it 
is. If a Westerner doesn't like the LD races in the SE, PNER or MW for 
that matter - don't come down to our rides - better yet don't tell our 
ride managers how to run them or our riders how to ride them. We will 
all probably be a lot happier. As my Granddaddy used to say - the say 
you have on what someone else does ends at the end of your nose. I think 
that is pretty good advice.
