I took an x-acto knife and cut out a notch for Josie's ponytail on her
old helmet. We used to drill holes in the back of their batting helmets. 
The whole point of a horse riding helmet being lower in back is to
prevent against stray hoof blows when you come off. Bikes aren't so bad
about that. :-)
