According to a post on AERC list, a horse uses that product was tested and tested neg.

I am not surprised. The method of action of salt laxatives, be they Mg and Sulfate or sodium and phosphate, is to remain in the gut and draw water into the gut from the body.

A very simple test of the feces would reveal their presence, but blood or urine would not (at least conclusively)

As I posted yesterday, this "prohibited substance" is silly, and probably a result of using the idea that if it is good for the FEI, it must be good for the AERC.
