Ah, Amber, a lady after my own heart! 

 

Much as I agree with Stagg about the challenges of riding "Cavalry," I have to confess that I got a chuckle out of his post, as I always figured the "Calvary" division was referring to the fact that in my second career as a pastor, I have to drive home in the night after riding rides in order to preach on Sunday mornings.  (I also have to confess that I had a good role model in my pastor father who had to do this when he rode endurance as well.)

 

Like the "Cavalry" division, my "Calvary" division does add a whole new dimension to the meaning of endurance--but I don't think it is quite what Stagg was talking about...  ;-)

In the last few weeks I have just completed two "new" old rides this year, both of which has Calvary Divisions.

 Dumb question of the day, is it really Calvary or do you mean Cavalry?
