[RC] more of Big Brown - Amy Major

I don't know anything about horse racing but I was hopeful for BB.  Especially with all the other history making events that happened last week (Obama etc) it seemed like the perfect timing to have another Triple Crown winner.

I made my husband rush home from vacation so I could watch.  I have lots of respect for the jockey.  He exhibits a lot of class and maturity.

I had a bad feeling that when the trainer was mouthing off all week about BB being Godzilla (this was before Casino Drive scratched) and the Japanese remained publically humble that BB would lose. But I thought it would be a neck and neck with Casino Drive not the last place finish. I get the feeling Dutrow is not used to eating that large of a serving of crow.  He talked a lot of trash last week.  Too bad that such a nice horse has such a trainer.

The fact of the matter is that his stud fees have been reportedly already sold for $50 million to Three Chimneys Farm.  That was before the Belmont.  I believe that the jockey cared about BB but even if he didn't, would you want the responsibility of running $50 million into the ground?  Smart guy all around.
