Re: [RC] re: NOT married because of horses... - Susan

This is SO true!  Folks who know my Dad know he's a fine man.  There's not a horse (or another man) on this planet that means more to me than him.  He has NEVER claimed I love my horses more than him.  He has pointed out the fact that I think more of them and my barn than I do my own house...which he doesn't understand.  LOL

A REAL man (or a real woman, for that matter) knows that you can love an animal deeply and still love a human deeply and without contestation.  My experience with guys and my horses are much like many others.  My experience with my former husband and horses was just a foretaste of things to come...and of his true colors.

I know us girls (especially) can get pretty passionate about our horses and God bless the man that allows us to be a horse-crazy girl in silence!  I hope we let him be his "crazy" self too.

I'm off with Dad to take the Topper Horse to the vet.  Someone kicked him last night and his foreleg is swollen big-time.
