[RC] Renting vehicle for Tevis - Tx Trigger

Since you are flying into the Sac airport, that would be your best place to
rent. You do not need 4 wheel drive or such, as the two main crew spots you
could drive any car into. Smaller is of course easier to park along the road
up at Robinson Flat. A small SUV makes it easier to get stuff in and out,
but a car with a deep trunk and a back seat would work <grin> Might take a
sheet or something to toss on the back seat if you are putting anything
dirty and yucky back there. The dirt road in and out of Robie Park will get
a car pretty dirty. We felt bad how filthy the car was one year, we hosed it
off before returning it.

I'd get something that gets good mileage, as you have a good drive up the
ride the start, then back down to Auburn to then head up to Robinson Flat.
The fuel prices are high in that area. Truckee has always been really bad...

Jonni in TX (who will be out volunteering again)
