Strapping to the front bucket works (we use a chain). if you can find a round bale feeder (cattle supply store) it will make it last a lot longer. If you do end up feeding them out by hand, keep one string tied around the entire bale so it doesn't fall open. i.e. just let one flake loose at a time.
