It appears that the filly’s ankles
broke AFTER the race as she was pulling up, according to the jockey. Not that
it makes much difference and the outcome is the same. Obviously she gave
ABSOLUTELY everything for the race…

I knew back in teh field something happened.
that filly finished the race with two broken ankles... and came in 2nd.
OMg, what she gave. I can't wrap my brain around it without crying.
