[RC] Sick to my stomach - Tx Trigger

I have not watched a horse race on TV in years. For some reason, we decided
to watch the derby today. I did not know any of the entries, and had not
even heard any of their names until today. I feared an accident as that huge
group broke from the gate, and will admit was excited by the nice finish
"Big Brown" did. Then we kind of chuckled as his jockey came off when he
spooked. But when we saw the filly down on the ground, I reached up and
turned the TV off. These horses give their all. And in this case, a filly
that to most of us is barely old enough to have a rider on her back, gave
her life, after finishing 2nd in the most famous horse race in history.
That sport just pisses me off more and more. Hey, but she won the farm some
money, eh? <sigh>
Jonni (who went out and hugged her horses after turning off the TV)
