Re: [RC] need brakets to hang panels from the side of my trailer !!!!! - rides2far

>>>> A welder will have some good ideas for you.  Be sure to talk to him/her about safety for your horses.  I got some brackets and they are fine.  I just can no longer tie my itchy faced gelding on that side of the trailer, again, even though he put them high enough; I just don’t trust that he won’t figure out a way to snag his halter on it.

Have them mount a hollow square tube to the side of the trailer, then make the bracket a smaller square tube that slides down inside of that one. Then when you unload your panels you can lift the bracket out, turn it sideways and make it flush with the trailer.

Also, a friend of mine had hers mounted where the bottoms of the panels rested on the fender of her trailer, straddling the wheel well. The vibration of the legs literally removed the paint in one trip and were soon working their way through the metal. If yours rest on the fender put some rubber under them. Also, try riding in your trailer with them on there. If they're noisy you might consider padding between them and the trailer to keep the noise level down.
