I agree. If most breeders were focused more on what makes a good working horse, there would be fewer horses produced that are temperamentally or conformationally unsuited to anything but being a broodmare, or whizzing around at the end of a halter lead looking psycho ...

For that matter, if the method of judging were different .... Many breeders are focused on producing the kind of horse that gets results in the show ring. After all, if the horse isn't successful, there are no ribbons, and no buyers ...
