RE: [RC] VVMarchmadness - Flora Hillman

Well, I may have only gotten in a 5.24 mile walk yesterday on the pasture
potato -- with the dogs along for the stroll -- and my family had to eat
take out pizza last night... BUT... my house is spotlessly clean (I had a
guest over -- cleaning suddenly took on a high priority status and it
swallowed a massive chunk of the day) and laundry all done and hung out to
dry.

Weather is supposed to be nice today (in the 50's) and I have a lot of trail
clearing to do on the mountain. With all the winds we had the other day, I
wonder if I'll find a bit of tornado strewn Alabama decorating our landscape
.....

You've managed to take a slight lead again ....but don't turn around,
Angie. I'm right on your heels. . :-)

I got in 4 miles yesterday trying out my new riding raincoat in the
pouring> rain -- enough miles to put me (slightly) ahead of Angie.

Well unless somebody downloads pretty late I have *slightly* regained the
lead. Didn't ride in the rain, *but* I did make it to church, have my
family a roast for Sunday dinner, and still manage to get 17 miles in on
a short trail having to come home and pick up a 2nd horse so as not to
bore the first to tears. :-) (OK, no clean laundry and the house is a
mess but you can't have everything!)

Interesting find of the day. I had noticed what looked like tiny bits of
insulation etc. on the trail and had guessed they were what the tornadoes
dropped as they came our way after hitting south of here. Well, today saw
what looked like an envelope off the trail in the greenbriar and thought
I'd see if there was an address. Instead it was a photo of a woman and
child, had their names on the back and "Scottsboro, Alabama". That's 60
miles from here. I'm going to scan it and send it to their local paper.

Angie
