Fwd: Re: [RC] Ride vet kit - was Convention education - Ellen Zawada

Excellent Question!  As a newbie, another thing I have been wondering about is Rider safety/health issues???  Are there practices in place to take care of a rider in distress?  I am a trained first responder, and would like to help if needed.  Sure wish they made a "First Aid" saddle pack!!!

So - question - do these supplies need to be refrigerated? What is
the effective life span - can I keep them around for a year or two?

For that matter, what do people consider (vets - please jump in) to
be a good "endurance ride" vet kit for the average rider to bring
with them to base camp?
