[RC] Heavy Riders & Narrow Horses - Vchorsegal

As a Rep for Specialized Saddles, I see a lot of horse & rider teams.  It is common for the larger or heavier riders to want to "help" the horse by selecting a lighter weight saddle.  Bear in mind that some light weight saddles that work well for smaller, lighter, and perhaps better balanced riders may flex under the weight of a heavier rider.  There are many variables- some larger riders ride lighter than their actual weight, some lighter riders ride much heavier. Also, strength of the rider of any size or weight will help their balance and ultimately their horse at the end of the day. Just things to keep in mind.  Happy Trails !
