I personally would like to see a "back to the future" where foreign riders frequently leased horses in the host country like in the earlier World Championships. That created camaraderie. Just ask Patti Pizzo who leased her wonderful horse Savaq to Brazilians for the '96 Worlds in Kansas. After he did so well, Patti and the Brazilians were dancing on the tables at the post ride dinner. However that is probably the idealistic dreamer in me.

Stagg, you and I must be dreaming the same dream! What a lovely dream it is!
So, how do we make it a reality? The upcoming Malaysian WEC has 'special' rules that will prevent this happening there, however after that it shouldn't really be so hard, should it? And how much less expensive will leasing horses be? Why, it might just balance the trade deficit!
