Re: [RC] Ortho-flex saddles - rides2far

I was looking into used ortho flex saddles. I guess there were two
companies> the original in MO and the new one in Arkansas. Does anyone
know if
there is> a difference in the quality of the saddles; new vs old
company or
are they> the same.

I don't know about the ones from the newer company, but one thing you
have to watch for with the old company is that they were constantly
changing and trying to improve, so the same model saddle made in
different years can have a lot of variety. My Express is number 003 so
I'm guessing it was the original plan. My daughter's is number 027. I can
tell hers had a different tree when I sit on it. Of course she likes hers
better, I like mine. The woman who had hers had paid to have dropped
rigging added. It's very well done, but now hers weighs more. A friend of
mine has one of the last ones made by the original company. Her panels
have spacers on them that make it sit kind of high and she wants to
remove them. I sent mine back for new panels at one time and it came back
with a different type spacers, which I removed. These are all the same
model saddle but have a lot of variety. By the way, if you're interested
in an Express made by the original MO company that looks like it was made
yesterday, I'll give you her address. She prefers her old original and
wants to sell the Express.
