I think if you were going to use the snow fence and tposts, you could put a strand of hotwire on top and make is safer..but still....if you are going to invest in something new, go portable steel or high tie...IMHO

Are you talking about t-posts and that bright orange fencing? If so, I have
used that. It worked OK, but:

- you have to be on ground where you can pound in the posts
- you have to devise some way of keeping the fencing attached to the posts
- when they lean on it or over it, it really sags and stretches
- it is nearly impossible to have a good "gate"

AAMOF that's the only containment my mare has ever gotten loose from. Twice.
