[RC] HIGH Thyroid level? - Barbara Moulton

help- I thought Joy might need chiro work since she
has been acting kind of "crazy" since we weaned
Bonnie- last two days were awful. Way back in 05 I
did a full blood work up and found that her Thyroid
was high and put her on Metaboleeze suppliment and
back out into pasture- new farrier that was awesome
and end of both lameness and behavior problems until
now. Joy was really pulled down by her filly and now
almost two months past weaning she is still losing
weight being fed plenty of alfalfa mix and oat hay
with no other horses sharing it. Up to date worming
and no signs of teeth issues. The vet/chiro I
consulted is also concerned that her vision might be
affected now, which would explain her recent behavior
changes any advice while I wait for results? Joy is
my baby and I am so worried for her- can this be
turned around and what will she need for support if it
is hyperthyroidism?
Barbara- Joy who is spooking at little birds like a
crazy arab (just kidding but it is so not like her it
scares me)and baby Bonnie who is having too much fun
with her pals to miss mom
