This is a 120k race about half an hour north of Paris at the end of August. Limited to a hundred seven and eight year old horses out of which 40 are french. It's one of the most prestigious races in France and their qualifications are tough but the 'rest of the world' don't need to jump those hoops. We have been given a horse to train for the race and which Richard has been asked to ride which means that our own eight year old is up for grabs.
Would anyone be interested in riding a completely charming Anglo Arab? He's done the distance already last September when he was 23rd out of 77 at 16kph while carrying 80k. He's tall - a full 15.2 and goes in a hackamore, has never bucked, reared or charged off. He has to carry 70k for this race and ideally i'd like someone who weighs about 60/62k and they'd ride in one of our treeless saddles.
Steph was there last year, she can vouch for what an amazing ride it is. Glorious forest going, fabulous atmosphere, catering to die for....
Thought I should get this in early
