Re: [RC] [RC] Best Heart Rate Monitor? - April

Mike,

It sounds like the Forerunner 305 will be a handy unit for you. If you buy Roger Rittenhouse's chest transmitter converter kit (www.vmaxept.com), you can use the 305 for heart rate data as well as to help keep you from getting lost, not to mention all the training capabilities. Once you get the hrm set up to work with your horse, it takes little fuss and muss to keep it working.

I also have an extra strap that I use for me when I'm doing cross-training away from the horse.

for a heart rate monitor for us while riding.  What do folks here suggest?
What units offer the least problems as far as pick-up sensor moving while
riding, etc?  Looking for a HRM I don't have to worry about, that'll do
its job reliably with minimal bickering and hassle.
