Another reason is that they often change the name of the horse when he goes to UAE.   They also might have low completion rates because they really want to win and do not subscribe to the To Finish Is To Win mentality...............mb

I think some our best riders and trainers like Fred Emigh have not competed in most of these large FEI rides for a variety of reasons.  From my observations, Fred has shown himself to be an excellent trainer and rider with a great deal of experience.   I am very proud of him.  I bet he had fun, too.
