Kathi,
They are meant to be hosed off..pay special attention to the rear where it contacts the horse underneath the pad. Sweat/salt can build up in the webbing and cause it to be rough and abrasive.

Hello, anybody out there have any suggestions as to the proper cleaning of a haf pad. I don't know if you can machine was or just use a hose. I'm altering mine slightly and have to have it clean before I can add what I'd like to.

Any suggestions shared are appreciated.
