"Towing capacity" is based on a lot of things, engine, transmission, 
suspension, brakes. All other things being equal the longer the wheel 
base the better the tow vehicle will handed the trailer. However, if all 
other things are not equal - you need to make some trades. All the wheel 
base in the world won't make a difference if the brakes can't stop it - 
and 750 pounds is lot of difference.
