[RC] Meeting of importance concerning Kentucky Trails/Please share for those interested - J. Reynolds

ATTN: TRAIL RIDERS
-------------------URGENT MEETING NOTICE----------------
 
Please be notified of a critical trails meeting to be held at:  
 
Powell County Lions Club Park in Stanton KY
Tuesday, March 6th, 2007 6:00pm ? 8:30pm EST
 
 
Topic to be discussed at this meeting: Designation of Trails in Red River Gorge Area of the Daniel Boone National Forest this includes Indian Creek, Morgan Hollow, Leatherwood Branch, and Hatton Ridge and Corner Ridge from J&E Riding Ring and Horse Camp to Gladie Creek (Shelatowee National Recreational Trail). Also Osborne Bend, Lost Branch, Cope Ridge (Powder House Trail) in the Clifty Wilderness Area.
 
Potential closure of trail access to horses: This is part of the LAC (Limits of Acceptable Change) Process. Therefore, without an outpouring of support from trail riders it is possible that horses will loose access to these areas.  Please attend this meeting to have your voice heard to ensure horses will continue to be able to access these trails.
 
Directions to Powell County Lions Club:
-Take I-64 out of Lexington North to Winchester
-1 mile past Winchester take Mountain Parkway East
-Take Exit 22 (Stanton)
-Head North on KY 213
-Go Thru Stanton
-Drive 2 miles toward Jeffersonville
-After you cross Red River Turn right at the Lions Club Park sign (North Fork Road)
-The building is on the right after ½ mile
 
 Be sure to pass this invitation along to anyone interested in horseback riding in the Daniel Boone Forest!!
