Re: [RC] Need recs for a harrow drag - Don Huston

Hello Jennifer,
The frame around the gate is not letting the chain link fencing get down far enough even with a tire on it. What worked better for me was a single heavy pipe connected to the mower with a rectangular piece of chain link fence connected to the pipe and several pieces of heavy chain on the fencing. That way the whole mess can flex and fit the shape of the ground better. Also go slow and it won't bounce over the squashed manure so much.

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good harrow drag that I can pull behind my riding lawn mower to spread manure in my 2 acre grass pasture? I've been using a chain link gate with a tire on it, but it's not getting the manure that's been squashed down into the grass - it just kinda skims over the top of it.
Thanks!
Jennifer
