[RC] Lonnie - feeding strange horses - SpottedracerIf your neighbor can't talk and tell you how much - a pretty safe bet is start with feeding about 1/2 bale per horse per day.. Might start with a touch less, since you're changing their hay type.... With that, start with just a little bit of the feed she has on hand - about 1-2lbs... Rather feed too little grain for a day or two - than chance colicking them with too much!With plenty of quality hay, salt block, and water - they should be OK for a while.
