Re: [RC] 2008 VV Classic! - John Teeter

A further comment. It may be that this won't seem REAL if there isn't a charge for entry. So if you want, you can $0.10 /mile to enter:) you can do it by:

http://www.endurance.net/ordering/makePayment.html

There will be no special consideration given to those who pay entry fees at this point!!:)

A further FAQ concerning the VV ride (see previous email too):
=====
a - It is also possible to draw your trail on google earth. I have found that it's mostly possible to do this to reasonable accuracy. So those who which to hand draw their trail in google earth and send me the .kmz file, then you will be able to enter the special "handDrawn" division. You will get completion miles only for these of course:)

b - GPS mile (uploaded to motionbase.com) will be in the "GotProofStupid = GPS" division. This division support time as well as distance only - placements MAY be given for comparable track segments.

c - Elevation will play a role in figuring out points for a given GPS ride.

d - all rules compliance, truth in reporting, and data preparation (as well has equine husbandry) are the responsibility entrant. Ride Management will only provide the amenities, records retention, and space to express your opinions:)

------
Take a look at the 2007 Arabian Nights ride as an example of a hand drawn path:

http://www.endurance.net/2007NC and click through to the coverage site (It's the end of year also, so a good time to take a look at the AERC Champions:)

Ok, all those who wish to enter the 2008 VV Classic, you must send your entry requests to my self, with a cc to virtualSteward Bob Morris.

There's the shell of a website:

http://www.endurance.net/VVClassic/

and those of you participating in the experiment may have a special opportunity to help out:)

Does that need Board approval? What the hell, why not!
