[RC] Sorry I was making a joke (was: confused, etc.) - k s swigart

Actually, to be more accurate, I was pointing out a joke that Susan had
made...except that I suspect she didn't know she was making a
joke...which, to me, made it even funnier.

I found it quite humerous (irony being my favorite form of humor) that
she would follow, "I am not sending this post as an advertisement," with
what was, to me, a pretty blatant advertisement. Something very Monty
Python-esque (you know, like that line from Life of Brian, "If it's not
a personal question; are you a virgin?").

If I had inadvertantly said such a thing, and somebody pointed it out to
me, I would take it as an opportunity to laugh at myself. (I confess to
having done such thing on more than one occasion).

I should have ended my previous post (which I didn't think of until
afterwards) with, "Not complaining, mind you. I just find it funny."
Instead of relying on my ":)" tag line.

However, to answer John's question: Yes, I would like it if signature
files were removed from posts to ridecamp.

Since a goodly number of them ARE advertisements, and few of those that
aren't add much of anything to the content of the list, which is true
even of my Catherine the Great quote.
