Re: [RC] Saddle-Tite (was: Iridon Breeches) - Beverley H. Kane, MD

Thanks for the suggestions for SADL-TITE (correct spelling). I was also
thinking of using that StickUm stuff that you use at the base of candles.
Sounds like this does the same thing.

The tights slip most on the inner thigh on the downbeat of the post, where
the momentum slides me back too far (Somewhat helped by posting a tinier
amplitude--hard on 'my' bouncy Arab.)

Thanks also for clarifying that the stuff goes on the saddle, not on me.
Reminds me of the anecdote about the patient that gets a prescription for a
cream with instructions "Apply to skin" and wipes himself with the piece of
paper.

Saddle-Tite (or it might be saddl-tite, or tight, or whatever) is a rub
on (comes in a dispenser rather like chapstick only bigger) that can be
applied to saddles (not breeches) to make them "stickier."

Virtually every english (and western too for all I know but I don't know
much about western showing) show barn applies it to the saddles of
amateur riders just before they go into their classes. Since these
people often show in white breeches that need to stay white, one nice
thing about the product is that it does NOT stain.

Works great too. I use it on my saddle for my Native Costume class,
since silk pantaloons don't provide ANY grip to the saddle.
