Hi Kathy,
Yes the 301 & 305 have improved the reception some. The other thing
that can help is where you put the unit. For best reception the unit
should be on the top of your helmet :-[ so in the interest of recording a
good track thru difficult terrain are you willing to try it? Duct tape
the straps to your helmet, turn that puppy on and kick it. :-D The only
area that I have absolutely no data is the 3-4 miles of trail from the
Forrest Hill vet stop to Cal-2.
