Re: [RC] river crossing - Don Huston

Hello Kathy,
I am hijacking your post to ask if you or one of your friends has a GPS that can be downloaded to a computer and if you would be willing to record the WST Trail from the Forrest Hill vet check west down to Cal-2 then email me the track? In 2006 Tom Noll rode the 100 and recorded everything except that portion....his GPS lost reception from trees or cloud cover whatever. Anyway if somebody can get that portion then I can finish my map and send it to whomever wants it.. 8-). Actually if you are going to ride from Forrest Hill to Franciscos or whatever I could use the track to verify and improve on what Tom recorded. Any data you can send me would be very helpful and of course you will get a nice map for your trouble ;-)
Thanks for any help

Anybody out there know if the American River river crossing (where they cross at Tevis every year) is safe to cross right now? I was thinking of checking it out over there. From either the Cool/Auburn or Foresthill side. Possibly both.

Figured with the lack of rain it might be low enough. Also I understand there is a website for Oxbow dam where you can check out the water release times/and times of day for high/low water. Anybody know what that is by chance.

thanks,
kathie
